Privacy Policy
Who we are
QuantityHost (quantityhost.com) is run by Fluidtrack Systems ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the site handles, why, and the choices you have. If you have a question, email contact@quantityhost.com.
Information we handle
What you enter in the calculators
The calculators run in your browser. To make results shareable, your inputs (such as a guest count) can be added to the page address. Because that address is sent to our server when the page loads, it can appear in server logs. Some preferences, such as your units or checklist progress, are saved in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device, and you can clear them at any time in your browser settings.
Server and network logs
Our host (Hostinger) and our network and security provider (Cloudflare) automatically process technical details of each request: your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. They use them to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix problems, and keep them according to their own retention policies.
Messages you send us
If you email us or use our contact form, we receive your name, email address and message. Email to our address passes through Cloudflare Email Routing to a Google (Gmail) mailbox. We use your message only to reply, and keep it only as long as needed to deal with your request.
Cookies, advertising and analytics
Advertising
We show ads through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website and other websites. Google's advertising cookies let it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of some other vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (Europe).
- Google explains how it uses this information in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are (country or region), and what kind of device they use. We use this to improve the site, not to identify you. You can block it with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Your consent
If you visit from the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, you'll see a consent message from Google's certified consent platform. Advertising and analytics cookies that need consent are used only according to your choices, and you can change those choices at any time from the privacy settings link on the site.
How and why we use information
- To run, secure and fix the site (our legitimate interest in providing a working, safe service).
- To measure use and show ads, which pay for the free tools (your consent, where the law requires it, otherwise our legitimate interest).
- To answer messages you send us.
We don't sell your personal information for money. Some US state privacy laws treat advertising cookies as "selling" or "sharing" personal information. You can opt out of that through Google's Ads Settings or the privacy settings link on the site.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers named above (Hostinger, Cloudflare and Google), who process it to provide their services. They may process it outside your country, including in the United States, under their own safeguards for international transfers.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, email contact@quantityhost.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority, for example the ICO in the UK, the OAIC in Australia or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner in Canada.
Children
QuantityHost is meant for adults planning events. It is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
